I’m Home, I should have called but …
Ok so I’m home and recovering from a few days of sleep deprivation. I know, I know, I could have called or posted but then again I thought the time was better spent alone recovering with the Bunny dog. I’ll be back to my normal schedule quickly which is good because I have several projects to complete in the time being and I leave on next Wednesday for another one of those wrap your brain around a good commercial Oyster blender add tonic and stir well shows. I Should come out quite tasty but a might bit bitter. Although I’m hoping for that small extra ingredient that would make it a whole lot more smooth with a slight hint of minty freshness. Kind of like finding a good Mojito in a real dump kind of experience … yet I digress …
3AM wakeup call …
So have you ever had a 3am wakeup call? Probably not. But me on the other hand, I have had two so far and tomorrow is another one.
But it could be worse, believe it or not I have had earlier wakeup calls and those days were full days too! So all in all this is an easy week for me. I just need to keep myself up on Adobe Connect Pro and make sure I understand the IP scheme of the facility and the speed they say we’ll get for the connection we paid for. Which is usually a fun game. They say one speed, you find another, and then they find an excuse. But all the while you still need the speed so you make a few “hacks” and then you’re good. Should the facility find out you made the “hacks” you’re in trouble, but they never do. Maybe I’m getting to be that good, or they just don’t care anymore, either way I could care less as long as my clients get what they need.
Well that said, I am having a good time in Philly again. I kind of miss the attitude and the food, but the general “screw you we’re better than you” attitude is wearing very thin. It’s amazing how full of themselves these people are. Sometimes I like to think I am better than some others, but here its a way of life. Screw you, if we needed you we’d have asked you to be here is the basic theme. Welcome to Philly.
Ok, I’ve probably said too much, so I’m going to have another smoke and hit the hay. My wakeup call is for 2:45am so I guess its a good time for me to call it a night. Even if “The Office” is still on. Goodnight for now kids.
Still kickin’ in New Orleans
I’m still in New Orleans working on the ACOG show, and I’ll be here until Thursday. It’s been sort of a long week so far, but all in all the show has gone well. Today was my biggest day of recording sessions, and thank goodness its over. Now all I want is a nice cold beer. Well maybe a little more than that, but we’ll start there for now. A bunch of us are going to go out tonight and drink a few. I’m hoping it gets a little crazy, that will be fun.
Not much more to say right now. Hopefully I’ll have some good stories from the evening ahead.
