A Long Few Days

*This post was written at several different points in the day, hence the jumping around.
This morning I woke up at 5am with my little demons running wild in my head. They come back to see me every once in a while just to screw with me. I’m fine, and I’m doing fine, but they just like to fill my head with brief moments of fear, doubt and anger. Like I said they’re little bastards.
So there was a lot of grunting and groaning in the yard this weekend, and no it wasn’t that kind either. Bryan and I finished replacing three fence posts in the backyard; and what a chore that was! Thank goodness for Blake’s auger or I just wouldn’t have been able to do it. The ground here is solid gray clay, and its darned near impossible to just use a shovel and dig through it. You almost want to reach for dynamite. Oh well, either way its finished and the fence doesn’t look “gheto” anymore.
Onto the next household problem, the AC unit. Seems every year its something different, which is why I buy the home warranty. Unfortunately this year I have been denied twice because the repairs were deemed as negligent home care. Like how in the hell was I supposed to know to remove the front of the blower unit, then pull off a plate, remove a triangle panel {whatever that is?!} and clean off the coil wires? Seriously … you’re freakin’ kidding me! I even watch all the home shows, the Bob Villa and such, and not one of those guys has ever pried open an ac unit and described it as “normal home care”. Needless to say I’ll not be renewing my home warranty next year. On the bright side, the AC in the house has never been better. Lesson learned I guess.
If that wasn’t enough of a personal beating, I then decided to do the lawn, and do a good spring job at it too. After than I thought how cool it might look for there to be some cannis, and some tall grass on the back “wall of death”. Needless to say several hours later I had completely remodeled the back wall with re-purposed parts from across the backyard. I split a few things up that had become overgrown and I think it really turned out nice. The irrigation system needed a tuning up too so I swapped out a few parts and now the “wall of death” is no more. As long as we use the irrigation system that is …
Alright people, I am pooped. I know I owe several of you calls and or emails and I promise to get to them as soon as I have a beer and several hours of uninterrupted sleep. For now just take a look at the picture set linked to the image in this post. Goodnight kids.
