chili day

Today was a busy day, but a good one.  The highlight was a great lunch today sponsored by Scotty P.  He brought food from his weekend trip and turned it into kick ass fajita burritos from hell.  So to try and stay on track I took the leftovers tonight and made some chili with it.  I’m interested to see how hot is is in the end.  As it stands now at 11:15pm it has a few hours to go before I let it just simmer and settle and its got quite a kick.  So if thats any indication we may have a good ass kickin’ batch going here.  I’ll keep my fingers crossed … at least as much as my eyes are right now.  You know I have always followed the famous cajun chef in his philosophy about how much the dish gets and how much the cook gets.  I always liked his proportions.  Seemed the cook was always happy in the end. 

That being said, I’m calling it a night.
The boogeyman and I will see you at 4:30am when we check the chili …
