Random thoughts this morning
I woke up this morning with the same eery dream of the past. Its a recurring dream and seems to get more memorable and interesting as time goes on. Its not the happy dream of people throwing little pickles at your feet, but then again its not a depressing one either. Why am I saying this, I have no idea. But I figured it happened so I might as well write about it. We’re heading towards the holidays again and I can feel it, the dream is back.
Well it turns out this weekend was too difficult for our schedules to accommodate, so I’m not going anywhere. I was looking forward to seeing my old friend but I understand the constraints of life. We’ll get a chance to catch up when I visit my parents this Christmas. I’m looking forward to it.
Bunny girl has been miserable lately, poor thing. Her allergies are kicking in full force right now so she’s a licking machine. I’m trying to get her into the vet to help, maybe they can give her a shot or something. Plus I think its time for her to have another bath. I’m not sure how that plays into the licking, it may make it worse so I might have to go to the vet first. I’ll have to check that out.
So as you can tell I have been tweaking with the site. The fonts have been modified and I’m working on adding a few more bells and whistles. I was toying with the idea of putting everything behind a user wall as before, but I don’t think I’ll go that route. Who’s really reading this now anyway, right? So I think for now I’ll leave this as is and just try and not offend anyone.
After re-reading my post from the other night I could see how it could be taken as a personal attack, but it was not meant as such. I’ll try and be more, more … I don’t know, but I’ll try and not make things seem like that. Not sure if anyone else thought that, but I did.

A cool new place and some thoughts
I went out to dinner tonight with Elizabeth and got to see her new place over by the mall. It was a nice time. Her new apartment is a cute place and she’s done it up very nice, perfect for someone starting out. Its safe, well lit, and full of amenities. I know, I sound like a freak or a commercial, I know, I know …
… so, obviously, as I sit here, making love to yet another beer bottle, I am brought to wonder, have I moved on myself? I admit I am a little jealous of picking up and running with a new life, new stuff, and a new place. The new cool apartment with the new car and the eager anticipation of a new adventure in chasing the inevitable PhD. It all sounds so romantic. After coming back from dinner I was looking around her new place, seeing small reminders of a life I didn’t have a prayer to save, and I couldn’t help but become a little choked up and need to run away. And you know, as I was driving home I realized I was running to the very place she was running away from. Perhaps I do have a fair bit of growing up to do then, don’t I.
With that, I am looking to get away hang out with a good old friend for a few days. This will be the first time I have hung out with her in quite a long time. Since high school in fact, so this will be fun. We were the ones people picked out to go nowhere yet have managed to claw our ways past the lives of those ‘chosen few’ in high school and I can’t wait to hear some stories of those who should have yet failed.
She’s a much healthier person than I am, drinking only rarely, a good change for me. She was a personal trainer for personnel in the military so she’s built like a brick shit-house too. This will make it a good time for me as I am hoping to get some serious pointers with the weights. I’m thinking of this as a reunion slash physical and mental wellness get-away. Either way smiles all around as it will be her birthday as well. Maybe the chef will whip up a little somethin’ somethin’, you know. We’ll have to wait and see.

The Blue Bar
I have been watching a damn blue bar for almost a day and a half now as I back up and move myself to another mac system. I’m finally consolidating and moving back to my own machine and not not living on the work one as before. I just felt it was a good idea and it make sense too. It seems that I have over 400GB of stuff! Good lord, what in the world you may ask?! Well it seems I have been collecting quite a few pictures of my adventures abroad, and they have been adding up. So hopefuly in the near future they will all be back up on the new site. Right now I just want a little luck so I can be compleely up and running tomorrow morning or so.
On the personal side of life things have been interesting and in a good way lately. It seems someone from my past has re-made contact with me and I am going to see her for her birthday. It was my idea, kid of an impulse thing (yea, me, who knew?!) since I know how shitty it is the first time by yourself, divorced, on your birthday. Plus she is without her kids too, so it only makes sense. Why not have some fun and not be alone? So we’ll see how that goes.
Stop looking at me like that … seriously, she’s an old friend … stop that, naughty readers …
Our parents have finally made it back from their cruise abroad through the middle of Europe or something like that. I’ll post some of th pictures once I get rolling. They went to some amazing places and saw some real history. I’m jealous. Maybe someday …

Going to the Misfits?!
Tonight I am going to the Misfits 30th Anniversary Concert with Bryan. This should be very interesting. I haven’t been to a concert like this as an audience member in years. I hope my ears can take it. Either way this should be cool. Tomorrow we’re going to the Cowboys vs. Jets game so that will be nice too. Seems like I have been working so much lately that all my personal cool time is condensed into this week. Oh well, could be worse.
The weather has finally turned colder and Bunny and I are happy for it. She has been spending long hours laying on the deck enjoying the cold breeze. The poor girl has been plagued lately with allergy rashes so this cold spat is a welcome site.
Work has been crazy busy but I’m finally back home for a few weeks. Good, now I can mow the lawn before it starts getting shitty outside. I appreciate the little things like a lawn and tomatoe plants more after a long stretch. That’s probably good for me. Well, have a good turkey day tomorrow and have some pie for me!
Is it the weekend yet?
It may only be Tuesday, but man am I ready for the weekend. Honestly I’m looking forward to the Jets and Cowboys game on Thursday the most! We decided to forgo the typical festivities this year and opted instead for the beer drinking deep fried turkey crowd. Sounds like fun, and no dishes!
Today has been a long one, filled with many faces peering in at me hoping the rendering would somehow miraculously run quicker if they constantly checked on me. Silly, silly. I can only go as fast as physics will allow me to go. Or as fast as ONE machine can go. I used to get really stressed out over projects that needed a miracle to be complete on time. Now I laugh and point to the blue bar on screen. Sometimes you can only do what you can do, despite what everyone else’s thoughts might be. Oh well, I guess I’ve grown up a little. Scary isn’t it!
Alright kids, time for me to go home and see the Bunny dog and Paloma kitty. Have a good night.
Here we go ya’ll …
OK, here I go, a new blog, and a new site with a new host (hostgator.com) that I love. I have had a few hours of tweaking so far, so look for things to change in subtle ways. But all in all I decided that all I needed was a blog with some pictures. You know, keep it simple right. So we’ll see how this goes.
The pic’s section is online, and with a few more tweaks will be good to go as a template for the rest of my never a dull moment life. I lost the cool top bar of images for now, but who cares, those pictures are now, or will be, in the panoramic section now in their full luster. I also lost the calendar and personal email sections, but again those were superfluous and honestly I needed to get a grip anyway. So ladies and dudes, strap on a pair, here we go …
new parts
Well I am attempting to install and configure a pictures section for the site. There are some strange goings on right now, like the slices that are there instead of thumbnail images, but they are kind of cool by-products. Just goes to show, sometimes there is beauty in chaos.
I’ll keep trying and start posting by early next week. Goodnight kids.
